Arrest made in connection with mail bombs sent to Trump critics

After days of panic, a Florida man has reportedly been arrested in connection with a string of mail bombs sent to prominent critics of President Trump.

The identity of the person wasn’t immediately known, but Reuters reports the person was apprehended in the Miami area. A Department of Justice spokesperson confirmed on Twitter that someone was being held in custody, and said more details would be provided at 2:30 Eastern Time today.

As of Friday, at least 12 packages had been discovered by authorities, none of which have detonated. The bombs were sent to prominent Democratic politicians, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden, as well as to CNN.
