Waze is integrating seven more audio streaming services into its navigation app. The services, which include Pandora, Deezer, and TuneIn, come as part of the app’s new audio player, and should mean that your music or podcasts integrate more seamlessly with your navigation instructions. The announcement brings the total number of available music services to eight, and join the Spotify integration that was announced last year.
Although naysayers will quickly point out the app is still lacking support for other major services like Apple Music, YouTube Music, or SoundCloud, the eight services cover a decent spread of audio content including music (Pandora, Deezer, Spotify), radio (TuneIn, iHeartRadio, NPR One), podcasts (Stitcher), and audio books (Scribd). Not every streaming service is available across both iOS and Android just yet, but Waze has said that it’ll be rolling them out through the end of the year.
