Amazon is rolling out a new feature to its Fire TV Cube, which lets users navigate around third-party apps like Hulu and Netflix with voice controls, via AFTVNews . The new feature works like it says on the can: instead of using a remote to navigate menus, you’ll be able to use voice commands that emulate the buttons on a remote. So if you can’t find the remote, you’ll be able to navigate apps by asking Alexa to “Move right / left / up / down” and select the highlighted option with “Alexa, select.” There are also “Alexa, scroll” options for quickly navigating through menus. The update should already be available on all Fire TV Cube devices, with 17 apps that support the hands-free navigation: ABC, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, The CW, CW Seed, DramaFever, ESPN, FilmStruck, Fox Now, FXNow, Hallmark Movies Now, HBO Go, HBO Now, Hulu, Netflix, Red Bull TV, and Tubi TV. After days of panic, a Florida man has reportedly been arrested in connection with a string of mail bombs sent to prominent critics of President Trump. The identity of the person wasn’t immediately known, but Reuters reports the person was apprehended in the Miami area. A Department of Justice spokesperson confirmed on Twitter that someone was being held in custody, and said more details would be provided at 2:30 Eastern Time today. Apple has announced another event for the year that’s set to take place at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) on October 30th. It will be the company’s first event held in New York; Apple has traditionally held events in California, but it broke that mold earlier this year with an education-focused iPad event in Chicago in March.
